Fajr Film Festival’s jury panel for documentary movies attending the latest edition of the event has been announced.
The PR office of Fajr Festival said in a media release on Monday that as per the secretary of the 35th Fajr Festival Mohammad Heidari, Manoucherh Tayab, Robert Safarian, Mahdi Baqeri, Mohammad Ali Farsi and Ramin Heidari Farouqi will sit on the festival’s jury for documentary films.
The jurors are among the noted figures in Iran cinema.
Ramin Heidari Farouqi, one of the distinguished jurors serving on the Fajr documentary panel, is a researcher, critic and documentarian who made several impressive docs such as ‘The Cloud, the Wind, the Moon’ and ‘Here Is Africa’. The Latter has been shown in African countries, including Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
‘Here Is Africa’ tries to introduce cultural, economic, political and social characteristics of Africa as well as its history, industry, agriculture, education system. The problems of immigration are also touched on in the documentary series.
Actress Roya Nonahali played the role of a researcher in the documentary.
